The Emmaus football team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 38-0 win over Dieruff last Thursday.
Playing without injured starting quarterback Josiah Williams, sophomore quarterback Jerek Cooper completed nine of 14 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Junior running back Riley Guiffre carried the ball just six times against the Huskies, but he amassed 104 yards and a touchdown in the game. Senior Jasiyah Banks ran the ball five times and put up 56 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Cael Kratzer was one of seven Hornets to catch passes in the win. The senior had three receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, senior Mario Landino led Emmaus with eight tackles. Classmate Ben Mercado made five tackles in the game. Juniors Daniel Duggan and Tyler Durette both had interceptions against Dieruff.
Emmaus moves on to face Bethlehem Catholic Friday night. The Golden Hawks are coming off a 20-19 win over Easton last week. They have beaten Liberty (48-16), Pocono Mountain East (42-6), Whitehall (34-21) and Pleasant Valley (28-0) this season.
