The Parkland cross country teams both went 3-0 at last week’s meet at Stroudsburg.
The Parkland boys team beat the host Mountaineers, East Stroudsburg South and East Stroudsburg North by 15-50 scores. The Trojan girls beat ES South and ES North 15-50 and took down the host Mounties 19-40.
In the boys race, Parkland runners occupied the first eight places with senior Paul Abeln taking first place in 17:19.7, followed by senior Ethan Willard, junior Jorge Rinker, freshman Colin McGuigan and senior Jacob Barnes rounding out the top five, which count toward the team score.
In the girls race, Trojan senior Lana Hurwitz was the first of three straight Parkland runners to cross the finish line.
Hurwitz finished in 20:28.9. She was followed by senior Gracie Trexler, junior Lucy Tobia, freshman Harshita Rejeshkumar-Keerthi (5th overall) and freshman Madylyn Kruk (8th overall).
