Ryan J. Parkinson

Ryan J. Parkinson, 42, of South Whitehall, died Sept. 27, 2023.

Born in Kingston, Luzerne County, he was the son of Debra A. (Andreas) Wheeland and the stepson of Robert L. Wheeland.

He was predeceased by his father, Marvin L. Parkinson.

A 2004 summa cum laude graduate of Drexel University, he was a financial analyst for Navigant Financial, Comcast and lastly for EPP.

He will be remembered for his love of Duke basketball, the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillys and 76ers.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by brothers David Parkinson and his fiancée, Haley, of Denver, Colo., Scott Parkinson and his companion, Maggie, of Bethlehem, and Ethan Parkinson of Bethlehem; stepbrothers Bryan Wheeland and his wife, Julie, of South Whitehall, and Jason and his wife, Michelle, of Olathe, Kan.; aunt Jacqueline Andreas of Ventnor, N.J.; uncle Mike Heller and his wife. Sherry; cousins Derek and Matthew of Sinks Grove, W.Va.; nieces and nephews; and beloved “uncle” Richard Capece of Hanover Township, Luzerne County.

He was predeceased by his closest cousin, Kenneth Baldesari of West Chester.

His family will have private services.
