George A. Kurtz, 88, of Allentown, died peacefully Sep. 22, 2023, in Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazaret.

He was the son of the late George Kurtz and Tessie (Haflet) Kurtz.

Self-employed, he loved talking and enjoyed horses and reading newspapers.

His survivors include daughters Alicia (Kurtz) Shoup and son-in law, Andrew Shoup, Susan (Kurtz) Jordan and son-in law, Michael Jordan, and Monica Kurtz (Steffy) and Jason Borens.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brothers Ronald Kurtz and his wife, Joanne Kurtz, and Neil Kurtz.

He was predeceased by his beautiful wife, Barbara, and sister-in-law Beverly Kurtz.

A private family burial will be held later.
