Boys soccer wins 3

The boys soccer team picked up three more wins recently, all of which were clean sheets.

On Tuesday, the team beat Dieruff 9-0. Jackson Vajda scored three more times in the win, and reached a milestone.

“Jackson Vajda scored his 100th career goal this game and continued to show why he is the best player in the state,” said head coach Chris Bastidas.

However, in this recent three-game stretch, the Kids haven’t allowed a goal.

“Mason Haupt is playing great defense and is among the league leaders in assists,” Bastidas said. “Ethan Schrampf is continuing to play well is goal.”

Vajda added two assists in the win as Delali Tsome, Luca Manino, Sebastian Mello and Jake Erschen added goals. Tsome scored twice.

The boys topped Pocono Mountain West, 9-0. The team erupted for 6 first half goals.

Vajda led the way for the Kids scoring seven of the team’s goals, including all three in the second half. Tsome and Erschen also scored for the Kids. Brody Eisenhart had three assists. Helpers also came from Manino, Tsome with two and Mello.

Schrampf made two saves in the win.

NHS broke open a 1-0 game at halftime to win 5-0 over Easton.

Vajda got the Kids on the board with an assist from Haupt.

In the second half of the game, Vajda made it 2-0 with an unassisted tally.

Tsome would make it 3-0 on a Vajda assist and then Vajda made it 4-0 thanks to an Eisenhart pass.

Tsome made it 5-0 as Haupt got another assist.

Schrampf made three saves in the win.

The girls, meanwhile, sit in fifth place in the District 11 power rankings at 9-5-0, trailing fourth place Nazareth which is 11-2-1 and tied with third place Emmaus. Easton is 11-2 and Parkland 14-0-1.

The girls are comfortably ahead of the rest of the pack with two teams behind them at 7-8-0.

The girls beat Dieruff and PMW each 9-0.
