Walter N. Fedio, 86, of Orefield, died Sept. 25, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Sandra A. (Sosnowsky) Fedio for 35 years.
Born in Ormrod, he was a son of the late Paul and Anna (Dorociak) Fedio.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Kutztown University and a master’s degree from Lehigh University.
He was an elementary school teacher and reading specialist for more than 20 years for the Whitehall-Coplay School District until he retired in 1997. He was a bartender and officer at St. Nick’s Ukrainian Home Association. His side job was making golf clubs.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, Orefield.
He is survived by two daughters, Nicole and husband Andrew Crouse and Amy Kessler and husband David; a son, Gregory and partner Craig Larter; and two grandchildren; Ava and Anna.
He was predeceased by six siblings, Mary Kumernitsky, Helen Winarchick, Catherine Cocco, Anna Schlaffer, Paul and John.
There will be calling hours 6-8 p.m. Oct. 9 and 11 a.m.-noon Oct. 10, followed by a funeral service noon Oct. 10, all at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, 18037.
