The Whitehall Zephyrs varsity football team will host the Nazareth Blue Eagles Oct. 6 at Zephyr Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

Whitehall AARP Chapter 3115 invites members and guests to the Oktoberfest meeting, set for Oct. 10 at the Schadt Avenue Playground building, 1975 Schadt Ave.

Doors open 11:30 a.m., and the lunch will be served around noon. The menu includes hot dogs, kraut and baked beans.

There is a cost for the lunch meeting. Entertainment will be provided by Emil Schanta.

The group will be discussing upcoming trips scheduled for 2023, as well as travel plans for 2024.

Remember to get into the Halloween mood and stop by Whitehall Fire Department’s Haunted Hayride, which occurs 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October at Whitehall Parkway, 4690 S. Church St.

There is a cost for the hayride, and only cash payments are accepted.

Come out and support your fire department and have a spooky and wonderful time in the process.

Coplay will hold its annual Halloween parade 7 p.m. Oct. 17. The parade starts on Chestnut Street, just up from the Ruch Street intersection. Take a walk into Coplay and enjoy the festivities.
