St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Ruch and Chestnut streets, Whitehall, will participate in a rosary rally 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Oct. 14.

Every October, the America Needs Fatima group holds rosary rallies all over the world in honor of the appearance of the Blessed Mother to the three children in Fatima. There will be more than 22,000 events taking place at the same time.

The observance at St. John’s will take place outdoors in front of the statue of St. Michael. An altar will be set up with a statue of the Blessed Mother and candles.

The public is invited to attend the event, which will include singing and praying the rosary in a group led by Joseph Paul. Each person can make a special private intention to Our Lady of Fatima.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held either in the church or the social hall.
