Mary Mae Bower, 90, of Salisbury Township, died Sept. 30, 2023, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Walter Bower. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Fenstermaker) Schaffer.

She worked as a seamstress and sewing machine operator for various companies in the Lehigh Valley.

She enjoyed sewing, playing the lottery and going to the Alburtis Park.

She is survived by a son, Brian W., of Allentown; grandson, Nicholas Koon. She was predeceased by a son, Terry Koon; brother, Earl Robert Schaffer; sisters, Thelma G. Erney, Mabel Orlando, Violet Kressley.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 9 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held 10:30 a.m. Oct. 9 until the time of the memorial service. Arrangements were made by the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
