St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church will hold its 14th annual basket social in the parish hall, 435 Pershing Blvd., 5-7 p.m. Oct. 6, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 8.

The men’s breakfast group of St. John’s United Church of Christ meets the first Saturday of the month at Hamilton Family Restaurant, 2027 Hamilton St., Allentown. The next meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 7.

Fullerton American Legion Auxiliary 367, 609 Fullerton Ave., will be holding an oldies dance 7-11 p.m. Oct. 14.

The group will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots at the door. A cash donation is always appreciated for entry to the dance.

Bring your own snacks. Beer and soda will be available for purchase.

St. John’s UCC, 575 Grape St., is planning an Oct. 13 gift card bingo. Doors open 6 p.m., and the games begin 7 p.m.

Food will be available for purchase.

Tickets are now available for this event. There is a discount if you purchase your tickets in advance, but tickets will be available at the door if not sold out. You can purchase your tickets in the church office or on Sundays from a member of the fundraising committee.

Halloween is coming, so feel free to come in costume.

Donations for the following items would be appreciated: cans of regular, diet or caffeine-free Coca-Cola or Sprite; bottled water; packs of small snack bags; individually wrapped baked goods; hot dog and hamburger rolls; and any other food that can be sold. The church also need items and/or gift cards for the tricky tray.

In addition, volunteers are needed. Contact Tom Moyer or any other member of the fundraising committee.

St. John’s UCC is in need of a team of walkers for the CROP Hunger Walk, which is scheduled for Oct. 22, starting at 1:30 p.m., at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown.
