Bath: Church plans fall festival

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is planning an anniversary fall festival for 1-4 p.m. Oct. 7. Join the church for great good, polka and square dancing, a Martin Luther look-alike contest, cornhole tournament and the Indulgence Auction.

Sign up if you plan to attend.

The church also needs volunteers to help set up, clean up, bring food and bake. Look for sign-up sheets on the tables in the fellowship hall and on the table in the upstairs gathering area.

The rain date is set for Oct. 8.

Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church, 1433 Main St., is planning a vendor and yard sale for 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 7. There will be fun events for all ages. All proceeds will benefit the church.

Bath Fire Company Social Club, 135 S. Walnut St., will be holding a basket social, scheduled for 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 7 and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 8.

The drawing will start 3:30 p.m. Prizes include a flat screen TV, cash prize, lottery scratch off and 50/50.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be holding a household bingo Oct. 8. The doors will open 11:30 a.m., and bingo starts 1 p.m.

There will also be a Chinese auction, and the kitchen will be open. The event is BYOB.

Bath Area Food Bank will next distribute food Oct. 10, starting around 9:30 a.m., on the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St., Bath.

Do not arrive before 9:30 a.m. due to safety reasons.

The annual mayor’s community campfire will be 7-10 p.m. Oct. 14 at Firefighter Park, 300 N. Chestnut St. There will be music, hayrides and more.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church will help Bath Area Food Bank during the month of October by collecting boxed macaroni and cheese, toilet paper and paper towels. Donations for the food bank can be dropped off in the bins in the fellowship hall or upstairs in the gathering area.

Grocery gift cards, preferably Ahart’s, are always needed for emergencies. Monetary donations always stretch farther than any amount of food we can give.
