Walter N. Fedio
Walter N. Fedio, 86, of Orefield, died peacefully Sept. 25, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born in Ormrod, he was a son of the late Paul Fedio and Anna (Dorociak) Fedio.
He and his wife, Sandra A. (Sosnowsky) Fedio, were married 35 years before her death in 1999.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Kutztown University and later, his Master’s degree from Lehigh University.
An elementary school teacher and reading specialist for more than 20 years for the Whitehall School District, he retired in 1997.
He was a bartender and officer at St. Nick’s Ukrainian Home Association.
An avid golfer, he made two holes in one. His side job was making golf clubs.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Nicole Fedio and husband, Andrew Crouse, Amy Kessler and husband, David; son Gregory Fedio and partner, Craig Larter; and grandchildren Ava and Anna.
He was predeceased by siblings Mary Kumernitsky, Helen Winarchick, Catherine Cocco and Anna Schlaffer and Paul and John Fedio.
There will be a calling period 6-8 p.m. Oct. 9 and 11 a.m.-noon Oct. 10 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA. 18037.
His funeral service will immediately follow in the parlor at noon.
Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Northampton.
