Twila V. (Bowman) Herber, 93, formerly of Laurys Station, died Sept. 24, 2023, in Fellowship Community, Whitehall, where she was residing.
She was the wife of the late Wayne A. Herber.
Born in Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Hallie H. Bowman and Kathleen A. (Clum) Bowman Brady.
She was a postal clerk in the Laurys Station and Walnutport post offices for 25 years before retiring in 1990.
A life member of the Laurys Station Fire Company and St. John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station, she sang with the church choir for 42 years and taught Sunday School for 17 years.
Her survivors include children Gregory A. Herber (Connie) of Washington Township, Wayne K. Herber Ph.D., (Terri) of Coopersburg, and Anita V. Troxel (R. Scott) of Laurys Station; brothers Paul F. Bowman (Wanda) of Centerville, Ohio, and Karl M. Bowman (Millie) of Pickerington, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings Eugene D. Bowman and Donna L. Daugherty.
