Richard M. “Dick” Stoudt, 87, of Whitehall, died peacefully Sept. 18, 2023, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.
He and his wife, Rose Ann (Kubinsky) Stoudt, were married 50 years at the time of her death on Dec. 1, 2017.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Ernest and Martha (Roth) Krause.
A graduate of Parkland High School, he later served stateside with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era.
He was a professional electrician all of his life with IBEW Local 375 until retiring.
A die hard Central Catholic fan, and supporter of Lehigh Valley high school sports, he enjoyed his memberships in the Knights of Columbus, Fullerton Fire Company No. 1, Fullerton American Legion Post 367 and the Coplay Saengerbund.
He also enjoyed walking at the mall with his lifelong friend, Gary.
His survivors include a daughter Susan R. Julian and husband, John, of Macungie; grandchildren Abigail, Anthony and Caitlin; daughter-in-law Christina (Kobylinski) Stoudt of Northampton.
He was predeceased by his son Richard A. Stoudt in 2019; and sisters Judith Kubinsky and Jean Knauss.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Sept. 28 by the Rev. Fr. John S. Pendzick in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, 924 N. Front St., Allentown, where his viewing will begin at 9 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery will be private for the family.
