Clyde Derstine Gahman, 83, of Orefield, died Sept. 22, 2023, in Allentown.

He and his wife, Joanne P. (Lales) Gahman, were married 56 years.

Born in Perkasie, Bucks County, he was the son of the late William and Naomi (Derstine) Gahman.

He faithfully and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, having fought in Operation Starlite.

He was a truck driver for multiple companies throughout the Lehigh Valley for many years before retiring.

He was of the Greek Orthodox faith.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer A. Gahman of Lehighton; granddaughter Kimberly A. Lauer of Lehighton; sisters Geraldine Ruth of Souderton and Bette C. Christman and her husband, Merril, of Telford.

His service will be private, at the convenience of the family.

A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
