During the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting Sept. 7, Prachi Realty was given a written approval from the conditional use hearing Aug. 3.
This development will be a mixed use project with apartments, medical offices, a dog park and play areas.
There are buildings in this area currently which will be razed. The area is near the Hamilton Crossings Shopping Center. Proposed is a 2-story building with two medical offices, two ground floor apartments with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and apartments on the second floor with two bedrooms each.
Resolution 2023-47 was approved. This resolution is for a minor subdivision to create another buildable lot at 2024 Elbow Lane.
Resolution 2023-48 was approved. This is for the transfer of American Rescue Plan Act funds which are coronavirus state and local fiscal recovery funds. These funds will be transferred to the capital projects fund.
Emmaus High School is requesting usage of Camp Olympic for the cross-country team. This was approved.
Five intersections with traffic lights will have traffic signal upgrades to assist in modernization of pedestrian signals.
The intersections affected are Route 100 and Alburtis Road, Brookside Road and Sauerkraut Lane, Hamilton Boulevard and Shepherd Lane, Lower Macungie and East Texas roads and Lower Macungie Road and Wild Cherry Lane.
Township Engineer Bryan McAdam expressed his gratitude for checking up on him during a medical situation. He is on the road to recovery.
