Mark J. Steckel, 44, of Bethlehem, died Sept. 17, 2023, in his home. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Dean C. and Patricia E. (Henrich) Steckel, of Lower Macungie Township.
He was a graduate of Emmaus High School where he was a great athlete.
He enjoyed playing sports at Emmaus High School and later played fast pitch softball for many years. He loved fishing with his family and was a huge Tennessee Titans fan.
He worked as a package handler for FedEx Ground.
He enjoyed playing cards with his family and was very competitive when he played. He was a very good cook and enjoyed creative cooking.
He is survived by his parents; son, Taylor Geoffrey, of Allentown; sister, Jennifer E. and her husband, Nick Sosik, of Orefield and their sons, Logan and Ty. He was predeceased by a brother, Geoffrey Dean and is survived by Geoffrey’s children, Ben and Emma; aunt and uncle, Kay and Bob Kern; aunts, Barbara Henrich and Diane Henrich. He was predeceased by uncles, Bob Henrich and Tom Henrich.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
