Free, monitored bicycle parking will be available during the Walnutport Canal Festival, set for Oct. 15.

The parking area will be on Canal Street, near Main Street.

The Lehigh Township Historical Society is holding a Sharing One-Room School Memories and Mapping Early Schools program at St. Paul’s Indianland School House, scheduled for noon-3:15 p.m. Nov. 4.

Refreshments will be held in the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ social hall before the presentation by Joel Hoffner begins 1:30 p.m. He will discuss the early mapping of schools in Lehigh Township and Northampton County.

Following Hoffner’s presentation, one-room schoolhouse alumni will be sharing their memories until approximately 3 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Filbert Bed and Breakfast, in Danielsville, and J.H. Gilbert and Family, of Whitehall.

The event is free and open to the public.

St. Nicholas Church, 1152 Oak Road, Walnutport, will hold a Basket Palooza 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 5. There will be tons of baskets and gift cards available to win.

The kitchen will be open, and a bake sale will also be part of the event.

Takeout will be available.
