Edward A. Brown

Edward A. Brown, 91, of Emmaus, died Sept. 23, 2023, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Moyer) Brown. Born in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late David E. and Anna (Harvey) Brown.

He honorably served his country as a Navy hospital corpsman, attached to the Marine Corps, during the Korean War.

He worked for Mack Trucks for many years, retiring in 1987 as Plant 4 sheet metal superintendent.

He was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus.

He loved hunting, golfing and traveling and was a life member of Fire Co. #2, Emmaus and Mack Management Club.

He is survived by a son, Tad A. and his wife, Kimberly, of Denver; daughters, Kim L. and her husband, Jeffrey Freeman, of Kutztown, Jan E. and her husband, Dan Lichtenwalner, of Macungie, Amy J., of Emmaus; grandchildren, Melanie, Meredith, Edward II, Zachary, Kayli, Kristofer, Katlin, Drew, Kate; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Edward A.

Contributions may be made in his memory to St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 29 in St. John’s U.C.C., 139 N. Fourth St, Emmaus. Viewings will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus and 10 to 11 a.m. Sept. 29 in the church.
