The Bethlehem Area School Board Finance Committee reviewed contract items Sept. 18, including an agreement with Buxmont Academy. The district agrees to provide breakfast and lunch in bulk quantities for the nonprofit Buxmont Academy, a 7-12 grade school that provides emotional, behavioral and educational focus to at-risk and troubled children and their families.
The district also agreed to purchase athletic apparel and sports products from BSN Sports Reward Program and renew its contract with Micro Technology Group for computer server and data backup systems for the 2023-24 school year at a cost not to exceed $68,400.
The district will also continue contractual nursing services through Bayada Health Services throughout all schools at the rate of $65 per hour per nurse. They will also approve continued services provided by BTG counseling and educational services. They will provide parent and student support groups and family engagement workshops at a cost of $49,800 for all school, within the 2023-24 school year. The Human Resource Committee discussed the continuation of health care services with St. Luke’s University Health Network, also for the 2023-24 school year.
The Human Resource committee has been fine -tuning and updating policies which will be reviewed in upcoming meetings.
