Plan to attend Color Run Sept. 30

This week’s fall festival highlight is Savidge Farms Autumn Adventure, 1710 State St., Mertztown. They are hosting an opening weekend celebration 1 p.m. Sept. 24 including music by Hannah Violet and food by Spuds. During the season they are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in September and October. In October they are also open 1-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Autumn adventure includes hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze and mini-golf. They sell mums, baked goods and delicious apple cider slushies. They also host group events such as birthday parties or family gatherings. For more information visit www.savidgefarms.com.
The Salisbury High School guidance office is hosting a dual enrollment meeting 6-6:45 p.m. Sept. 21. They will explain the process and what classes are offered. Immediately following will be the SHS open house. Parents and guardians can follow students’ schedules and meet their teachers.
Open house for Salisbury Middle School will be 6:45 p.m. Sept. 28.
The next Salisbury Elementary School T-shirt days are Sept. 22 and 29.
Leading up to the color run Sept. 30, the SES PTO is hosting Spirit Week Sept. 25-29. The daily themes are: Monday – Fanatic Day (wear clothes from your favorite team); Tuesday – Mismatch Day (wear clothes that don’t match); Wednesday –Classic Color Day (kindergarten wears red, first grade-blue, second grade-green, third-yellow, fourth-orange, other staff-purple); Thursday – Tie Dye or rainbow day (dress colorfully) and Friday –school T-shirt day.
This all leads up to the annual color run Sept. 30. The glow party starts 3 p.m. and the color run 4:30 p.m. Food will be available for purchase with cash only. The Salisbury yard waste drop-off sites are open for the season. The Franko site will be open Sept. 21, 23 and Oct. 2. Devonshire will be open Sept. 25, 28 and 30. As always, hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
