Bethlehem’s field hockey teams are looking to get back on track this week after going through a rough stretch recently.
Liberty (3-3-1) finished off the week with a 8-1 defeat to Parkland (5-0-1) and look to wipe that away with games against Pleasant Valley (0-5-1), Bethlehem Catholic (0-9) and Whitehall (3-4-1).
Head coach Jill Dorn wants to see her group improve each game and they’ll have an opportunity to turn things around this week.
“The passing of the team has improved greatly,” said Dorn. “Conditioning and the passing game has improved. The transitional game of offense and defense and how to adjust our spacing has gotten better too.”
Freedom (4-5-1) have lost four straight games to Liberty, Stroudsburg, Emmaus and Northampton. Each of them have been close outside of a 13-0 loss to Emmaus, but with Pocono Mountain West (0-5) and East Stroudsburg South (4-5) on tap this week, the Pates have a chance to get over the .500 mark.
Bethlehem Catholic (1-9) faces Liberty in their only matchup this week. The Hawks have lost five straight since beating Pocono Mountain West 10-0.
