Whitehall Township Public Library: Whitehall library book, media sale scheduled for Sept. 22, 23
Whitehall Township Public Library will be holding a book and media sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 22 and 23.
A special bag sale will be noon-3 p.m. Sept. 23.
The library is accepting lightly used books and media to sell.

Preschool storytimes will be held 11 a.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 26-Nov. 14, and 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 27-Nov. 15, for ages 37 months old to those in preschool.
Toddler storytime is set for 11 a.m. Thursdays, Sept. 28-Nov. 16, for ages 12-36 months.
The events include stories, crafts and activities. Registration is required.

The library will hold a literary trivia night, set for 6 p.m. Oct. 3. Teens and adults can form teams of up to four to participate in our book-themed trivia. Snacks and prizes are part of the fun.

Mike Jesberger will share his “True Story of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow” presentation 6:30 p.m. Oct. 6.
Learn about one of America’s oldest short stories based on real events that took place in New York’s Hudson Valley during the American Revolution.

The Lehigh Valley Haunts event is planned for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16. Help us welcome back dark side storyteller Ellen Flynn as she takes us through new spooky tales about local haunts.
Registration is requested.

Help the library by participating in Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends program. Donate $5 to the library, and you will receive a shopping pass to be used Oct. 18.
Passes may be obtained at the library.

Kathy Baker, licensed Medicare insurance agent, will present basic Medicare information and Medicare Advantage plans 1 p.m. Oct. 21.
Registration is requested.

Hallow-Read will be held 1-3 p.m. Oct. 28. Toddlers and young school-aged kids can come in for food, games and crafts run by our Teen Advisory Board.
Costumes are encouraged!

The Lehigh Valley Conservation District will be holding a program 11 a.m. Oct. 31 to teach kids about bats, spiders, owls and more. This program is for toddlers to second-graders.
Registration is required.

The library is currently accepting donations of new and collectible items for our fall basket raffle, set for Nov. 3-11. Ticket presales begin Oct. 9.

September’s museum pass spotlight is the National Constitution Center, 525 Arch St., Philadelphia. The National Constitution Center explores and explains the U.S. Constitution through high-tech exhibits, artifacts and interactive displays.
Museum passes are free with your LCLC library card. The pass allows entry for up to six guests into the museum. Passes must be checked out and returned to the library circulation desk. Late fees apply.

The library is a drop-off location for Plant a Row Lehigh Valley. This grassroots organization helps supply fresh fruits and vegetables to the hungry in the Lehigh Valley.
You may drop off donations in the marked cooler inside the library 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays. All donations are provided to Whitehall Food Pantry.
