Mary M. Kirk, 99, formerly of Emmaus, died peacefully Sept. 11, 2023, at Lehigh Commons, Macungie. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Valovic) Miklencic.

Her parents were the proprietors of the Pine Tree Park in Emmaus, who donated land to St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Emmaus for the Calvary Cemetery.

She graduated from Emmaus High School in 1942 and was employed by Marjo Mills as a seamstress.

She was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn “Cookie” and her husband, Jack Jones; daughter-in-law, Marie; grandchildren, Neal (Melissa), Nicole, Natalie Harjes (Kyle), Emily Arnold; great-grandchildren, Kinley and Reese, Kevin and Carly Harjes, Kieran and Mairin Arnold; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by children, Joanne Crouthamel and David; brothers, John and Joseph Miklencic; sisters, Agnes Hendricks, Anna Hopko, Pearl Shelly, Rose Schmoyer, Margaret Howlett.
