Brian R. McElroy, 61, of Emmaus, died peacefully Sept. 9, 2023, in his home. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Shirley M. (Alloggio) McElroy.

He worked as a welder for TJ Cougle Trucking and Werner Trucking.

He was a huge football fan, rooted for the Raiders and loved dogs.

He is survived by a sister, Beverly J. and her husband, David Soltysiak, of Alpena, Mich.; niece and nephew, Jamie L. and Ryan M. Soltysiak; great-nieces and great-nephews, Amelia, Mylan, Jayce, Hailey; pet bird, Zazu.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 23 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
