Michael “Pappy” Sarko, 85, of Salisbury Township, died September 16, 2023, in his home. He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Gottwald) Sarko.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary (Zednik) Sarko.

He was in the United States Marines.

He was a mail carrier for more than 35 years for the U.S.P. S until he retired.

He was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church, Fountain Hill.

He was a lifetime member of the Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Company and the Jefferson Democratic Club.

He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Bauer and her husband Robert of Bethlehem; a brother, Ronald M. Sarko of Macungie; two grandchildren, Robert Bauer Jr. and his wife Tanya and Kristy Cressman and her husband Justin; and four great,grandchildren, Makenzie, Avery, Jakob and Parker.
