State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd, will host a license plate restoration event Sept. 20 to help motorists learn whether they need a new license plate and, if so, help them apply for a replacement.
McNeill said the event will take place 9 a.m.-noon behind the Catasauqua Borough Municipal Complex, 90 Bridge St.
“Finding out if you need a license plate restoration can take some digging. However, many don’t have the time to do research on that,” McNeill said. “This event will streamline that process and will spare those who attend of having to do that research.”
At the event, an officer will be available to determine if your license plate is illegible and needs to be replaced. Preregistration is required, and it is recommended you stop by or call McNeill’s district office at 610-266-1273 with your vehicle information to reserve a time slot.
Your plate number, title number and VIN number, all found on your registration card, are required for preregistration.
You will not receive a new license plate at the event as it will be mailed to your home address.
