Mark William Yenser, 80, of North Catasauqua, died Aug. 22, 2023, at home. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Deiter) Yenser for 59 years.

Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Mark B. and Rebecca O. (Lucero) Yenser.

H was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era in Germany and earned the rank of SP5.

He worked at General Electric until 1985 and then at Hersh’s Market until he retired in 2005.

He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catasauqua.

He was a member of Catasauqua American Legion Post 215.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Michele and husband Stewart Gouck of Upper Saucon Township; a son, Mark Jr. and wife Tammy of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren, Michael, Madeleine and Olivia Gouck and Katelyn and Ethan Yenser; a sister, Rebecca Tait and husband Larry; a brother, Darwin Laury; a sister, Kathryn Bogar and husband Richard; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister; three brothers; and his in-laws, Mamie and Albert Deiter.
