Armida H. Lindsey

Armida H. (Heslep) Lindsey, of Macungie, died peacefully at home Sept. 1, 2023. She was the wife of the late Donald M. Lindsey for 52 years whom she met in high school in Bonne Terre, Mo. Born in Hannibal, Mo., she was the daughter of Enes F. and Martha Mills Heslep.

She was a graduate of Washington University, St. Louis, Mo. and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Theta Kappa, and Alpha Chi Omega.

She worked as a teacher, teacher’s aide and remedial assistant teacher for many years, most recently in the East Penn School District.

Prior to her death, she volunteered as a runner for LVHN Cedar Crest and was a canteen aide for Miller-Keystone Blood Center where she enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends.

She loved to travel and spend time with her family and rescue dog.

She is survived by a son, Blake and his wife, Karen, of Merced, Calif.; daughter, Brooke Myers, of Macungie; adored grandsons, Cody and Devon Myers.
