Drivers are needed to transport families from congregations to a day center at 6 a.m. each day and then back to their congregations at 6:00 p.m. for Family Promise of Lehigh Valley clients. The vehicle is a 14-passenger van, and no special license is required. Congregations are all within 30 minutes of the Day Center located at 1346 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown. The K9 Cash 5k Run/1 Mile Pet walk for K9 Kop Project will be held at Delps Park, Danielsville, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on September 16. For this extremely fun and rewarding event, volunteers are needed in shifts to help in several areas: set-up, equipment, basket raffle, and to help the runners, walkers or vendors. Our After School Homework Club program is seeking tutors to assist children in grades 1-8 with homework, school projects, reading and math at the Northeast Community Center, Bethlehem. Elementary students attend the program 3:45-5 p.m. on Mondays & Wednesdays, and middle school students attend 3:15 - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year.
