Louise A. Smith, 80, of Bethlehem, died August 29, 2023, in Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Health Center, Kutztown. Born in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Dallas and Miriam (Heckman) Ruch. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Smith Jr.

She was a cashier for many years at Dollar Store, Bethlehem, and Redner’s Warehouse Market, Allentown, until she retired.

She is survived by two sisters, Anna Ruch of Phoenixville and Lorraine Miller (the late William Miller) of Kutztown; a brother, Donald Ruch (Elaine) of Macungie; a sister-in-law, Jean Ruch of Northampton; two grandchildren, Cody Rohrbach of Bethlehem and Madison Rohrbach of Pottstown; three stepdaughters, Carol A. McHale, JoAnn Yeakel and Juliann K. Smith; and extended family.

She was predeceased by a son, David Rohrbach; and two brothers, Earl Ruch and Richard Ruch.
