Frances L. Fogle, 99, formerly of Schnecksville, died Sept. 3, 2023, in Luther Crest Retirement Community, South Whitehall Township, where she had been residing.

She was the wife of the late Richard F. Fogle.

Born July 15, 1924, in Sterling, Rice County, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Peter M. and Elsie M. (Liggett) Nelson.

She and her late husband owned and operated the former Jordan Inn, Pleasant Corner, Heidelberg Township, for 32 years before retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, and a Golden Star Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rose Croix Chapter 235, formerly Slatington Chapter O.E.S. 458.

Her survivors include sons Ronald L. Fogle and his wife, Joan, of Fairfield, Conn., and Nelson D. Fogle and his wife, Tracy, of Schnecksville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Virgil M. Nelson.

Her memorial service will be 10 a.m. Sept. 8 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Gordon A. Camp officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
