Dean H. Weber, 88, of Macungie, formerly of Emmaus, died Aug. 30, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the husband of Loretta G. (Thompson) Weber for the last four years, and the late Nancy A. (Bayliss) Weber.
Born Oct. 13, 1934, in Schnecksville, he was the son of the late Jacob M. and Esther C. (Holben) Weber.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era.
A member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 35, he was a police officer with the rank of sergeant, for the Borough of Emmaus, for 28 years before retiring in 1993.
A member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus, he was a 24-year volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Deanna K. Kohn and her partner, Charles Wrecsics, of Coopersburg, and Susan N. Miller and her husband, Thomas, of Springtown; brother Dale P. Weber and his wife, Jeanne, of Schnecksville; grandchildren Andrew W. Kohn, Amanda K. Strunk, Alexander T. Miller, Austin D. Miller and Ethan J. Miller; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Piper, Davis Dean, Chloe and Grayson.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Sept. 7 in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Private interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
