If motorists see a school bus with lights flashing and a STOP signal, it means all traffic must stop while students get on or off. Failure to do so could result in a citation and a $300 fine. School buses are now equipped with traffic cameras on the STOP sign arm. Motorists that do not stop will be captured on video and will receive a citation in the mail after police identify the vehicle registration plate on the video.
