Upper Macungie Township celebrated National Night Out on Aug. 1 at Grange Park.
Hundreds of residents and others from throughout the region attended the event to rub elbows with neighbors, fire, EMS, police, township government agencies, as well as local vendors.
The goal of National Night Out is to enhance the relationship between residents and law enforcement and to provide residents with important resources in their communities.
The event also provides an environment where residents get to know each other.
Among the agencies taking part in the year’s National Night Out were Upper Macungie police, government officials and volunteer firefighters from Good Will Fire Co. No. 1, Trexlertown, Fogelsville and Upper Macungie Station 56.
