Luz E. Fuentes, 82, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Aug. 15, 2023, in The Cove at Tavares Village, where she was residing.

She was the wife of the late Angel Fuentes Jr.

Born March 7, 1941, in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Rita (Rivera) Cordero.

She was a lifelong member of the Catholic church.

Her survivors include children Luz E. Temple (Joseph) of Palmerton, Carmen Fuentes-Murray (Michael) of Waldon, N.Y., Angel Fuentes, III of Ocklawaha, Fla., Elizabeth Martinez (Gilbert) of Tampa, Fla., Dali Serrano (William) of Wharton, N.J., and Zenaida Spiteri (Wallace) of Levittown, N.Y.; brother Victor Cordero; sisters Rosa, and Rachel Cordero; 26 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
