Louise I. Beitler, 83, of Macungie, died Aug. 21, 2023.

She was the wife of the late George W. Beitler Jr.

Born in Seipstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Irene L. (Bachman) Greenawald.

A school bus driver for Paragon Transit in Salisbury Township for several years before retiring, she previously drove bus for Leibensperger Transportation in Macungie for 25 years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trexlertown, where she sang with the senior choir for 20 years, was a member of the Worship and Music Committee for 20 years and was the Altar Guild Chairwoman for 25 years.

Her survivors include sons Gary G. Beitler and his wife, Deborah, of Pottstown, and David G. Beitler and his wife, Lisa, of Fogelsville; grandchildren Nathan and Brianna; sisters Jean D. Becker and her husband, Robert, of Allentown, Gloria J. Snyder of Breinigsville, and Judy L. Greenawald of Winter Harbor, Maine.

She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick R. Greenawald.
