John T. Goldsworth, 81, of Germansville, died Aug. 24, 2023, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon County campus.

He and his wife, Diane L. (Snyder) Goldsworth, were married 34 years.

Born Jan. 9, 1942 in Palmerton, Carbon County, he was the son of the late John and Reba (Althouse) Goldsworth.

Having a love of cooking, he was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and was a chef at Moravian Village Retirement Home, Bethlehem, for many years before retiring.

Before that, he was the chef at the former Papa’s Restaurant, Schnecksville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Dakota Goldsworth; stepdaughter, Tammy Lindenmuth of Germansville; stepsons, Jeff Lindenmuth of Germansville, and Scott Lindenmuth of Allentown; sister Nancy Andreas and her husband, Frank, of Lehighton; and granddaughters Elizabeth and Amanda.

His service will be private, at the convenience of the family.There will be no public calling hours.
