John J. Galgon, 72, of Allentown, died on Aug. 26, 2023.
A son of the late Helen E. (Hunara) and John J. Galgon Sr., he was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Church, Allentown.
For the majority of his life, he was a laborer for Good Shepherd Work Services.
Upon meeting people, he would ask their name and called that person that at each meeting, even if he wasn’t always accurate.
He was raised to believe he was smart and handsome and cherished those traits every day.
His smile and funny hats warmed everyone’s heart and he could charm anyone out of his or her pen.
He kept every card he received because they made him feel special, and he enjoyed puzzle books, watching TV, McDonald’s coffee, and socializing.
He loved Wildwood, The Great Allentown Fair and celebrating his birthday.
His giggle laugh, ability to see everyone genuinely, and abundant hugs will be missed.
His survivors include a sister, Barbara E. Dempsey (Edward); nieces Lisa Marie Platske (Jim), and Pamela Herman (Steve); and nephew Edward Dempsey (Kristyn). He was predeceased by his brother, Phillip J.
