Wheels of Time jamboree returns to Macungie

The Wheels of Time 44th Rod and Custom Jamboree, held Aug. 25-27 at Macungie Memorial Park, remains a perennial favorite for hot rod enthusiasts. The Wheels of Time 44th Rod and Custom Jamboree showcased custom cars at Macungie Memorial Park Aug. 25-27. Hundreds of cars like this 1940 Ford Coupe owned by participants Douglas and Ginger VanHorn, of Sugarloaf, are on display during the annual show.
Striking an imposing presence is this 1967 Jeep M715 with a matching wagon owned by Bill Hartzell, of Chambersburg.
Rows and rows of restored cars and trucks are on full display throughout the weekend at Macungie Memorial Park for the Wheels of Time 44th Rod and Custom Jamboree.
Carl Zimmerman and Larry Welsch, of New Holland, combine efforts for their exhibit. Zimmerman owns the 1948 auto carrier which carries Larry's 1937 Cord.
Keith Handel drove his 1956 Chevrolet Nomad all the way from Granite Falls, N.C. and he will happily tell visitors all about his prized possession.
