Cathryn Vansant (Gilbert) Buskirk, 33, of Emmaus, living in Allentown, died Aug. 18, 2023, at her home. She was the daughter of Randall S. Gilbert and the late Eugenia V. Pearson.

She graduated from Emmaus High School in 2008 and Northampton Area Community College in 2011, earning a certificate in medical billing.

She enjoyed various activities in life’s journey including baton and dance.

She was outgoing, spontaneous, goofy and playful. She loved being with friends and was well loved in return.

She is survived by her father; son, Dillon T. Kromer; brothers, Timothee F. Gilbert, Kristian A. Pearson with his wife, Rachel; nephews, Lucas Gilbert, Caleb Pearson; niece, Madison Beck; many friends and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 2 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, 18052, located one block south of the Fullerton Avenue exit of Route 22, where family will receive guests beginning 10 a.m.
