Animals are available for adoption at the Center for Animal Health & Welfare no-kill shelter, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton. Benita is a 9-year-old shepherd/Lab-mix who has been waiting 728 days to find her forever home. This Labor Day weekend will mark her second anniversary as a shelter dog. Benita would love to find a family that wants to play fetch and go swimming with her. She absolutely loves water! She can be a little nervous about meeting new people, but with a trusted friend by her side and some time to get to know you. This senior gal would do best in an adult-only home and would prefer to be your one and only.
Seven-year-old Monty Carlo is a sweet and gentle boy who knows firsthand that shy guys almost always get picked last. No one has shown any interest in him since he arrived nearly eight months ago. Monty is an independent guy who enjoys his quiet time, but also loves playing with catnip toys and getting back rubs and scratches behind the ears. His purr-fect home would have a big window or cat tree to watch the birds from. He prefers adult company and is open to sharing his home with a mellow kitty friend.
