Gerald J. Masavage, 89, of Macungie, died Aug. 17, 2023, in Reading Hospital.

He was the widower of Adele A. (Pissott) Masavage.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was son of the late William and Anna (Klokis) Masavage.

A draftsman for the former Bell Labs, and later with AT&T, he honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, Orefield.

He enjoyed playing golf and was an animal lover, especially his dogs.

He cherished spending time with his family.

Survivors include daughters Debra Tyndall (Dan) of St. Louis, Mo. and Kathleen Keiser (Tim) of Mertztown; son Paul Masavage (Tina) of Morgantown; grandchildren Megan, Brian, Bruce, Katie, Korey, Madison, Nicholas and Jack; and great-grandchildren Brynlee, Landon and Liam; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Gerald Masavage Jr., brother Joseph Masavage, and sister Maryann Payne.
