The Whitehall tennis team got off to a good start with their new head coach, Susan DiGiacomo

The team knocked off East Stroudsburg North on the road on Monday, 4-2.

The Zephs won two of three matches in both singles and doubles.

In singles, Sonakshi Sharma topped Imani Quarterman 6-1, 6-0 at number one. At number three, Gio Yacoub topped Sophia Bezpalko 6-2, 6-2. Two player Brenna Pangaio fell in a close match to Solomia Bezpalko 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.

In doubles, Olivia Toto and Aleksandra Niski won 6-2, 6-3 at two doubles over Madison Quarterman and Gabrielle Greene.

At three doubles, Izzy Morales and Elena Attieh won 8-6 and 6-4.

Jessica Lin and Trinity Goeh fell to Sophia Piedrachita and Clarys Sanchez at four, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0.
