Northampton police

Northampton police responded to these and other calls recently.

JULY 18

A noise complaint in the 600 block of Main Street was addressed.

Police checked on the welfare of females in the 900 and 1000 blocks of Main Street.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 1700 block of Franklin Street, the 1300 block of Washington Avenue, at Dewey Avenue and East 24th Street, in the 1000 block of Main Street and at Main and East 14th streets.

Domestic disputes occurred in the 100 block of Jeffrey Lane and in the 1300 block of Vienna Street.

Officers responded to a harassment report in the 2200 block of Washington Avenue.

Police assisted males in the 100 block of East Fourth Street and the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

JULY 19

Traffic stops were conducted at West 19th and Center streets, in the 600 block of East 21st Street, at West 21st and Canal streets, at East 19th Street and Line Alley and at East Eighth Street and Howertown Road.

An assault in the 1200 block of Main Street was reported.

At Canal and West 14th streets, a report of a juvenile issue was addressed.

An animal report involving dogs barking in the 100 block of Frank Drive had police at the scene.

A male trespassing in the 2100 block of Washington Avenue was reported.

In the 2300 block of Washington Avenue, a domestic dispute took place.

A hit and run occurred at Laubach Avenue and East 21st Street. A vehicle stopped at a red light was struck from behind by another vehicle. The offending vehicle left the scene. The driver of the stopped vehicle was able to obtain the license plate, and driver of the offending vehicle was located.

JULY 20

Criminal mischief - tires slashed on numerous legally parked vehicles - took place in the unit block of Lerchenmiller Drive, the 1200 block of Main Street and the 1400, 1700 and 1800 blocks of Canal Street.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 2900 block of Center Road.

Criminal mischief - windows of legally parked vehicles damaged - occurred in the 2100 block of Siegfried Avenue and the 2200 block of Main Street.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 900 block of Main Street and at Laubach and Washington avenues.

Officers assisted a male in the 100 block of East Fourth Street.

An intoxicated male in the 1400 block of Canal Street was reported.

In the 1300 block of Stewart Street, officers responded to a report of a neighbor issue.

A fireworks complaint in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue was filed with the department.

JULY 21

Police assisted Pennsylvania State Police in the 1700 block of Northampton Avenue in locating a female.

Two suspicious males in the 600 block of Buckingham Drive were reported.

A civil issue in the 3000 block of Center Road was reported.

In the 100 block of Jeffrey Lane, a domestic dispute had police at the scene.

Criminal mischief - the tire of a legally parked vehicle slashed - in the 1000 block of Canal Street was investigated.

Officers checked on the welfare of a female in the 1800 block of Main Street.

A disturbance in the 1500 block of Poplar Street was addressed.
