Dallas H. Heckman Jr., 75, of Allentown, died Aug. 20, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of Nancy (Law) Heckman. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Dallas H. and Arlene (Arner) Heckman Sr.

For 35 years, he was a teacher with the Upper Perkiomen School District where he coached girls softball for many years. He also coached both softball and baseball with the Salisbury Youth Association.

He was actively involved with the Fearless Fire Company for many years, serving as president and financial secretary.

He volunteered as a docent at Lehigh Valley Zoo.

He was an avid bowler, bowling in many leagues and also enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife; children, Scott and his wife, Jasmine, of St. Louis, Mo., Lauren, of Collegeville; grandchildren, Moira and Madeline.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 26 at the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Friends and family may call 9 to 10 a.m. before the service at the funeral home.
