Police responded to a report of suspicious people on the Ironton Rail Trail.

The department investigated a hazardous condition in the 300 block of Chestnut Street.

AUG. 8

A report of found firearms brought police to the unit block of South Ninth Street.

Police investigated a reported domestic incident in the 600 block of Chestnut Street.

A hit and run that allegedly happened at Sheetz in Whitehall resulted in a fight in the 200 block of Chestnut Street, Coplay.

A bike was reported found in the 100 block of South Fifth Street.

Officers investigated criminal mischief in the 200 block of Chestnut Street.

Police responded to a noise complaint in the unit block of South Second Street.

A hazardous condition brought police to the 100 block of North Front Street.

Reckless drivers on the Ironton Rail Trail near Second Street were reported.

A neighbor issue in the unit block of North Fourth Street brought police to the scene.

AUG. 10

Police responded to a fraud report in the 100 block of South Fifth Street.

Warnings were issued for speeding during traffic stops on Chestnut and South Eighth streets.

A motor vehicle accident brought police to the intersection of South Second Street and Hohls Alley.

AUG. 11

Officers investigated an animal complaint in the 1000 block of Catherine Drive.

A report of flammable liquids brought police to the 300 block of Strawberry Alley.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on the Coplay-Northampton Bridge.

AUG. 12

Officers investigated a report of harassment in the unit block of Saylor Drive.

A report of vandalism brought police to the unit block of North Second Street.

Police investigated a disturbance in the unit block of Saylor Drive after a pickup truck and motorcycles reportedly drove through a resident’s yard. Tire tracks were photographed. Vehicles matching the description were seen heading toward Whitehall and were reportedly seen in Northampton.

Traffic stops were conducted at South Second and Hokendauqua streets and at Bridge and Main streets, Northampton.

A suspicious person and vehicle at North Fourth and Coplay streets was reported.

Welfare checks were conducted in the 100 block of South Seventh Street and the 200 block of South Second Street.

A resident from the unit block of South Second Street made a report to police that another resident is attempting to frame him for a crime. According to police, he said he has a protection-from-abuse order against the resident and added he does not own a gun.

AUG. 13

Officers investigated a disturbance in the area of North Second and Chestnut streets.

A welfare check was conducted on a resident in the 3500 block of Chestnut Street.
