The free summer concert series is slowly winding down. GirlCrue is set to perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 25 at Catasauqua Park and Playground’s amphitheater, 501 American St.

Get out your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun evening.

Reminder: The last day for donations to Whitehall Active Community Center’s Fill the Wagon initiative is Aug. 25.

The Conestoga wagon is placed in the parking lot at the center, 2301 Pine St., Whitehall, for donated items needed by the children in the Whitehall-Coplay School District. Items will be taken inside each evening and stored securely.

Items most needed include shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine products, cosmetic bags, crayons, markers, notebooks, notebook paper, glue sticks, rulers, pencil cases, colored pencils, refillable water bottles, earbuds and individual snack bags.

Whitehall Active Community Center will be holding its next bingo Aug. 27. Bingo starts 1 p.m., with the doors opening noon.

Bingo will continue with a tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game and more.

There will be refreshments available for purchase.

Bring a nonperishable food item for Whitehall Food Pantry.

The Catasauqua Club, 226 Pine St., is having a basket social 5-8 p.m. Sept. 8 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 9. There will be food available for purchase, a bake sale and an additional 50/50 raffle.

Tickets are available at the door.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is hosting a mystery dinner theater event 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the church. Presented by Without a Cue Productions LLC, the production is titled “Once Bitten, Twice Dead.”

The dinner includes herb-roasted chicken breast, roasted herb potatoes, salad, dessert and beverages.

Reserve your tickets by calling Debbie at 610-984-2105. Tickets are first come, first served.

Proceeds will benefit Bloom for Women, a safe house and women’s center for abused women.
