Leona V. Kuhns, 87, of Whitehall, died Aug. 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg campus, Bethlehem.

She was the wife of the late Roy E. Kuhns.

Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late William and Verna (Green) VanBlargan.

A sales associate for Avon Cosmetics for more than 50 years, she was the most senior associate in the region, and was a member of the Avon President’s Club.

She was an active member of the former St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Allentown, and was currently a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown.

She was a dedicated mother and caregiver of her daughter, Sharon, who died in October 2022, for more than 50 years.

Her survivors include sons Gary C. Kuhns of Coplay, and Dennis R. Kuhns and his wife, Stacey, of Exton; grandchildren Jenny Huegel, Ryan Kuhns and Tyler Kuhns; and great-grandson, Dylan Huegel.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Kuhns, granddaughter Laura Kuhns, and her siblings Wilmer, Herbert and William VanBlargan, Dorothy Coombs and Nancy Hoffman.
