Jeffrey C. Peter, 70, of New Tripoli, died Aug. 2, 2023, in The Lutheran Home at Topton.

He was the husband of Catherine (Reinhard) Peter.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Elaine (Wehr) Peter of New Tripoli and the late Carl Peter.

He was a 1971 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School.

A farmer for 27 years, he worked in the mail room for the former Alpo Co., now Nestle Purina, Allentown, and was a cook at the former Village Inn Restaurant, South Whitehall.

He was a life member of the New Tripoli Fire Company and volunteered at the Schnecksville Fire Company.

He was a member of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Adam Peter of New Tripoli; stepchildren Daryl Gordon (Melissa) of Lehighton, Freddie Strohl of New Tripoli, and Wendy Rooney (William) of Germansville; sister Gail Pearsall (Scott) of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Makayla, Zakari, Benjamin, Olivia and Evan; great-grandchildren Wynnie and Everly; and a niece, Rikki Savidge.
